The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is an independent federal agency that is responsible for regulating the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity. They are also responsible for regulating and licensing hydropower projects in the United States. FERC is the lead federal agency responsible for reviewing and managing GB Energy Park’s license application.

License Application - 10/1/15

FERC Extension of the Commencement of Construction Deadline

On September 5, 2018 and July 21, 2020 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued an Extension of the Commencement of Construction Deadline for the Gordon Butte Pumped Storage Project, Project No. P-13642, Article 301.

 

 

FERC Order Issuing Original License for the Gordon Butte Pumped Storage Project

On December 14, 2016 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission entered into the Federal Register an Order Issuing Original License to GB Energy Park LLC for the Gordon Butte Closed Loop Pumped Storage Hydro Project (P-13642).


 

PAD and NOI - 4/30/13

On April 30th, 2013, GB Energy Park filed a preliminary application document (PAD) and notice of intent (NOI) with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
